1. What this is

Lienox ("the Software") is a local-first application that runs AI agents on your own machine. The agents can, when you instruct them: run shell commands, read and write files, control a web browser, and call third‑party Large Language Model (LLM) providers using keys you supply ("Bring Your Own Key" / BYOK).

By installing or using the Software you agree to these Terms.

2. Your machine, your responsibility

The Software executes actions locally with your authorization. You acknowledge that:

Agents can modify files, run programs, and automate a browser on your device.
You are responsible for reviewing what you ask agents to do and for any resulting changes.
You will run the Software only on machines and accounts you are authorized to use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Software to:

Violate any law, regulation, or third party's rights.
Send unsolicited/automated communications (spam, bulk calling/messaging) without the recipients' valid prior consent and in violation of telecom/anti‑spam laws (e.g. TCPA, GDPR/ePrivacy).
Access systems, accounts, or data without authorization, or scrape/automate sites in violation of their terms.
Generate or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.

You are solely responsible for the agents you create and the actions they take.

4. Third‑party providers (BYOK)

The Software sends your prompts and context to the LLM provider you choose, under your account and API key. Your use of those providers is governed by their terms and privacy policies, and you are responsible for their costs and usage limits. We are not a party to that relationship.

5. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. AI output can be inaccurate; do not rely on it without review.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR PROVIDER COSTS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

7. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms; continued use means acceptance. You may stop using the Software at any time.
