Lienox — End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the Lienox desktop application binaries ("Software"). The Lienox service (accounts, subscriptions, licensing) is governed separately by the Terms of Service (TERMS.md). By installing or using the Software you agree to this Agreement.

1. License grant

Subject to this Agreement and your active account, Lienox grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, for your own use. One account per person; tiers (Free/Pro/Ultra) define usage limits enforced by signed license tokens.

2. Restrictions

You may NOT:

Copy, redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense or host the Software for third

parties.

Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the

source code of the Software, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Modify, patch or tamper with the Software, including its license

verification, usage limits, or telemetry components.

Circumvent or attempt to circumvent tier limits or license validation.
Use the Software to violate any law or third-party rights.

3. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. Lienox and its licensors retain all right, title and interest in the Software, including all intellectual property rights. Your local data (projects, prompts, outputs, databases) remains yours.

4. BYOK and third-party services

The Software connects to AI providers using API keys you supply. Your use of those providers is governed by their terms; you are responsible for all charges they bill you. Lienox is not a party to those agreements.

5. Telemetry

The Software reports usage events and crash data to Lienox as described in the Privacy Policy (PRIVACY.md). Prompts, outputs, file contents and API keys are never transmitted.

6. Updates

The Software may download and install updates automatically. Updates may modify or remove features. License tokens refresh periodically; without a valid refresh the Software degrades to the Free tier (it does not stop working).

7. Termination

This license terminates automatically if you breach this Agreement. Upon termination you must uninstall the Software. Sections 3, 8 and 9 survive termination.

8. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. LIENOX DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. AI AGENTS EXECUTE COMMANDS ON YOUR MACHINE; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING WHAT THEY DO.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIENOX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE. THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF LIENOX SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
